Meet Our Team: Pradeep Kumar Saroj And His Views On Voice Technology

In this week’s Meet our Team, we introduce you to Pradeep Kumar Saroj, one of our Onsite Support Engineers based in the interTouch office in India.

Could you tell us a little bit about your background?
“I have four years of experience in hospitality technology and joined interTouch in India in May 2019. l thoroughly enjoy being with my co-workers every day, we have a great atmosphere in the office and I love going to work.”

What do you see as the biggest trend in (hospitality) technology?
“Voice technology is a growing trend in hospitality and travellers are increasingly looking to find hotels, restaurants and cafes via voice search. I think this is a development to watch and hotels should carefully consider capitalising on this opportunity.”

What is your favourite tech gadget?
“My computer is my favourite tech gadget as it enables me to do pretty much everything except taking a shower! With my computer I can build things, read things, watch things, learn things, and stay connected with friends and family.”

Once we can all travel again, what cities/places/destinations are on your bucket list?
“I would love to visit the pyramids of Giza in Egypt and Machu Picchu in Peru.”

What is your favourite business mantra?
“If you are here for rewards, fame and money, you will ultimately fail. If you are here for love, meaning and people, you will ultimately win.”

Do you have a role model / mentor in business, and if so, who is it and why?
“Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, who was the 11th President of India, is my role model. He lived a simple life, didn’t earn money and invested time with his students until his last breath.”

What is your superpower?
“Endurance, strength and observation are my superpowers.”

What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
“I would take a knife, a can of bug spray and a bottle of sunblock!”

“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing you will be successful.”

“My favourite book is The Secret Of Life: The Little Book That Changed The World.”
