We are heartbroken at the devastating situation in India as the country battles the rise in COVID-19 cases. April has seen an unprecedented surge in COVID-19 cases and there are no signs of things slowing down. We have launched a vaccination drive to ensure all our team members and their families in India receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

“The health and safety of our team members and their families is our highest priority. Whilst we may be thousands of miles away from our valued team, each one of them and their families are in our thoughts during this difficult time. Our goal is to remove any potential obstacles to them receiving the COVID-19 vaccination so they can put their health and that of their family first,” said Michael Vargosko, Managing Director, EMEA, India and Caribbean & Latin America.

Biplab Hazra, Regional Managing Director – India and Subcontinent commented, “Today we are launching a vaccine drive for all our interTouch team members in India. We will pay for all team members and their adult family members to receive the vaccination at a private clinic thus reducing the waiting time to get the vaccine.”

Vinod Karambelkar, HR & Admin Manager – India, Subcontinent, EMEA and CALA added “interTouch will also match the total cost of the vaccine drive with a donation to The Akshaya Patra Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation headquartered in Bengaluru, India. The current situation in India is putting a huge strain on our infrastructure and protecting those that are vulnerable, especially children is something we care deeply about at interTouch.”

With more than a sixth of the global interTouch team based in India, this vaccination drive will ensure that all team members and their families are vaccinated as soon as possible. It is going to take a huge global effort to help and bring an end to this pandemic, we will do everything we can to keep our teams and their families safe.
